I would honestly find donating to help someone get an abortion a much, much worthier cause than fixing a computer.

This. I'm not going to donate money to someone I'm fond of online for a computer. Computers are useful and semi-important but there is no time frame. But for an abortion? I'm going to give you that money asap.

Same, when I finished reading this I was just thinking "I'd rather give a friend money to pay for an abortion if they needed it though..."

I mean, I get that that's not necessarily a prevalent attitude, but still.

Absolutely this. If I couldn't help you pay, I'd help you signal boost. I'd consider it a more urgent issue than a broken computer.

Definitely.

...this was actually a misfire, but I agree with the the thing I accidentally commented on, too!

Yeah, me too

I'm not really for abortions myself, but I'd have a lot more respect for someone who came out and admitted they couldn't do it without help than to lie about it.

Pro-life/pro-choice is a huge, highly emotional and highly personal debate for a lot of people, and I just feel like it would have been more respectful of this person to respect others' opinions and let them make the decision to help her for themselves rather than misleading them. It just feels like she lied because she thought she could get more money if half her followers didn't realize that according to their own personal beliefs they were contributing in murder (not wanting to get into the whole pro-whichever debate though, of course, just saying that this is the part that really gets to me - the fact that any group that would feel so strongly about an issue would be tricked into contributing to it against their will).
