I'm on the Dean/Cas side of the fandom and never saw any hate for Daphne. I actually like her and would like to see more of her and get to know her story.

Curious, how would you react if you didn't like her? Whether you found her boring or just not that appetizing? I think the main issue for me is how people react with characters they don't like. They behave like that character is worse than numerous mass murderers combined.

Um, not the above user but I want to reply anyway. :D

I'm a harcore Dean/Cas shipper and for that reason I just don't appreciate Daphne's presence/role in the series. I don't hate the character personally, but I do wish she just weren't there. *shrugs* And I think that's normal.

It makes it difficult to watch their scenes on TV, admittedly, but I ignore it best I can. And when in fandom I don't talk about her at all. I stick to my Destiel comms and just like to forget she exists completely. Fandom is my *ignorance is bliss* happy place. I don't even bother getting into arguments about her character because I don't want to disrupt that.

I'm a major lurker and I've only seen the bashing of her character a total of once. Most people are just as indifferent as I am. Or they act as indifferent as I do. I've seen people claim not to like her, but that's it. Except for that one experience where someone outright bashed her (and no one even followed that up), most people are either completely indifferent to her character or they just don't like her but don't get that worked up about it.

I don't know what the OP is talking about. I spend a lot of time in fandom (I'm physically disabled, so I only do a little bit of freelance work on the computer. i literally spend 1/2 of my day i fandom) and I frequent a lot of comms and journals on a daily basis and have not seen all the Daphne-hate some people are claiming.

Hmm, I think I'd just ignore her, you know? Well, tbh, it was really hard to think anything of her (for a somewhat important charatcer, she had ridicously short screen-time) but, yes I did find her boring (again - screen time) but still sweet and kind (and pretty!).

Actually, I rarely hate on characters - it's such a waste of time and there's really nothing I can really do about them, so why stress over it? I usually just brush them off, frustrate on the inside and tolerate them during their screen time.

I really don't know why people do that. I think that majority of hate comes from the more enthusiastic (and chilldish) shippers or just super possesive fans? IDK.

Me too, and I haven't seen any hate either.

Mostly I wonder about their 'marriage'. Like, if Emanuel/Cas still has Jimmy's fingerprints/bloodwork/etc, wouldn't it be impossible for them to marry due to his marriage to Amelia? Is it just a cover?

I'd really like to see the development of their relationship.

It really baffled me. Why would Cas need 'new' identity if he already has one? I mean, it's not like Jimmy's dead, legaly speaking, right? Or did Sam or Dean or Bobby faked his death? How did they even get married?

The only thing I can have on Daphne is absurdity of their marriage. Hopefully, we see more and it'll be explained! (though, I don't count on it.)
