Of all the characters I want to make a comeback, Ace is top on that list. What happened to her? Didn't we last see her heading off to a "Time Lord Academy" or something?

On TV, we last saw her still traveling with the Doctor, final fate unknown. Since then, several of the EU series have done different things with her. The Big Finish Audios, for example, gave her a chance to go off to the academy but had her turn it down. The Virgin New Adventures novels leave her in Paris. Ace is definitely all the awesome, though, regardless of what you did with her.

She's mentioned in The Sarah Jane Adventures, actually, at the end of "Death of the Doctor". She's running a successful charity.
