I don't really consider it a crack ship either. To me, a crack ship is one where the characters either haven't met in canon or at least barely know each other. Joey and Kaiba have met numerous times during canon and hate each other, so they are prime rivalmance material to me.

Exactly this. I dunno if I can even think of that many crack ships, as a matter of fact--most of them seem pretty legit to me. :)
