OP honey, I think you are hanging around with all sorts of the wrong fans if you think all of us are raging lit beasts who're gonna come for your blood. His writing is tough to swallow even for people who adore literature and classic writing.

However, not gonna lie, I've run into the sort of people you speak of who worship Tolkien as some sort of writing God who must never ever be criticized and you are some sort of plebeian idiot for "not getting it".
