I just find them dull overall. Easy reads but I just got bored to tears with all the stopping for ginger beer and singing songs that seemed to go on for pages. I do think I would have liked them better if I read them when I was about 13, I remember the other kids at school liking them, but I left it until I was much older, and I think too old, they are for young people really.
