Actually, I agree with you.

What saves this finale (for me anyway) are the songs (which I'll talk about later) and the fact that they kind of implied that Shining Armor has been mentioned in-universe. When they found out he was getting married, nobody was like "omg Twilight you have a brother??" They were just all "Oh he's getting married! Congratulations!" and stuff.

Cadence is one of the biggest sue's I've ever seen, (she literally spreads love wherever she goes, and she's a pega-corn with gradation on her wings...and a princess..WHY..) but the whole "she was your foal-sitter!" story was touching, if only because It reminded me of a video this one girl made, about how Lauren Faust actually used to baby sit her.

I still think the songs were amazing though. Even if you didn't give a sh*t about Shining Armor, B.B.B.F.F is still cute and bouncy, while also ringing true for that special somebody in your life who's close to like family.

I still think the love between a bride and groom is special (twoo luv, cheesy, cheesy goodness) so Love is In Bloom is a nice song too, and I didn't mind it being the powerful source to take down the villain. (especially since it was feeding off of THEIR LOVE in the first place, not to mention Cadence's special talent is love-oriented)

But maybe I just grew up on too much Sailor Moon;;; (You've got to belieeeee~eeve- in the POWER OF LOVE!)
