Any permutations of Gannicus and Crixus is most welcome....but I have developed a seriously detailed scenario where Gannicus, Melitta and Oneamaus.....work out the whole "lovetriangle issue".


You know, in a universe where Melitta wasn't both fridged AND punished for lusting after a guy who wasn't her husband.

I liked Melitta. rather I thought she had potential. Sadly we never really got to see much character development on her and she was used mostly to facilitate other people's story lines.

But-but Gannicus is a horrible character. He looks nice enough, but he's really kind of a dick. Seriously, his (spoiler) best friend's wife? Douche bag.

After he was forced to sleep with her for the entertainment of the higher classes and then inadvertently developed feelings for her in the process? And they didn't do more than kiss.

Sounds less like a douchebag than a man who was royally fucked over by circumstances and sadly has very bad impulse control (which we know is the case for the character).

When we meet him, he is sort of happy-go-lucky, living for the fight, the women and the wine. I wasn't expecting any deep, complex emotional turmoil here.
