You're right. Everyone who doesn't hate slash just does it for the sake of it. Because I'm not a snooty, ignorant little twat, I must pick names from my random name jar of hawt males for all my pairings~!

Sweetheart. There are people who like slash. Your smug self importance over it is one tiiiiiny voice in a mass of many. You not exactly being clear on the concept of shipping is your problem, not everyone else's.

Since, apparently, you're very set on all of this, I see little point in arguing with you. I shall be off, and go write fanfiction with (gasp!) two males, with the sole intent of hoping an innocent soul like yourself actually clicks it. S'how I roll, you see.

oh my. did i hurt your sparkly little bishies' feelings?? i apologise, truly i do.

see, if anyone here is a snooty, ignorant little twat here, i'd be compelled to say it's you, seeing as how you are intent on finding something in my words that ISN'T THERE.

i know and love MANY people who slash with reason. i've done it myself, in the past. i don't have an issue with that. but it's not the canon community, or the het one, that will not only disregard sexualities but CHARACTERISATION to put male characters with other male characters. i'm sitting here thinking of all the secrets posted right here in this very community about people who slash their own straight friends, just for the sake of it. one secret that pops out in particular was the girl who feared having male twins when she has children because she would slash them.

when was i unclear about the concept of shipping? where? I ONLY APPROVE OF CANON SHIPS. REGARDLESS OF THE CANON. i guess i imagined it being spelled out in black and white ALL OVER THE THREAD.

you seem to like putting words in my mouth, so allow me to put some in yours: "i, [livejournal.com profile] impishly, am a wanky twit who can't bear to see anyone disagree with me, and must accordingly behave like a slighted schoolgirl'.

you go write your fanfiction, love. i'll go write mine, and even though mine will get less comments because it (gasp!) doesn't star hot hairless boys disregarding their characterisation and having sex with each other, i will rest easy in that fact that it will be better than yours.
