15 - I'm stuck in Pittsburgh too. I hate it here. Most conservative, stuck-up city ever. We should be friends.

What show is this? It looks interesting. I've never heard of it.

And damnit, I didn't know about the gay pride parade!! D

The show is Queer as Folk. It was on Showtime, but it ended after 5 seasons I believe.

I need to watch more seasons, but the first season is ♥!

What was it about, do you know?

From IMDB's QaF (http://imdb.com/title/tt0262985/) page:

Based on the British series of the same name, Showtime's 'Queer as Folk' presents the American version. Following the lives of five gay men in Pittsburgh, 'Queer as Folk' is a riveting drama full of sex, drugs, adventure, friendship and love. Although the creators of 'Queer as Folk' wanted to present an honest depiction of gay life, it is by no means a comprehensive depiction. In addition to the usual sexual escapades and relationships of the five friends, the show explores critical gay political and health issues.

I'm out of here in one year. ♥ Unless if I have to go to college here too; that would make me miserable. So if you want to be friends with a whiny high school brat...

Queer as Folk. I only knew about it because there was a newspaper article about how Pittsburgh should be more queer friendly like it's portrayed in that show 'cause apparently, a lot of them come here for vacation and end up getting disappointed. And they have big wallets. XD Thus, Pittsburgh is stupid.

It might partially've been because of the arts festival. D: I only knew about it because one of my co-workers mentioned it.

(and yes, I am the OP. Not that anyone else seems to care. XD)

Cool! I'm a senior this year too, and there is no way in hell I am ever going to a college here...

So, so long as you don't mind being friends with a high school brat too, I'm good. :D

Pittsburgh is incredibly stupid. I wish I saw that article, though.

What's the OP? (><;;

Yeah, but my stepmom and mom work for Pitt. =| So I'd get free tuition. But then, my grades and SAT scores are good enough that I'd probably get a nice ride in many colleges. I just wish I didn't grow up here; there are actually colleges worth going to.

No, I don't mind. Me: Mt. Lebanon. You?

It was from a few years back though. =| I don't even remember which newspaper it was from. Oh well.

I think it means Original Poster, but for all I know, it could mean obnoxious person. XD

With your SAT scores alone, you could go tons of places for very little if not nothing. I got 1990. (Really, really well done, btw. Good job!) I've no idea where I want to go; all my friends are aiming for CMU for engineering, while I detest the sciences, so they all do college visits together. C'est la vie, I suppose

Baldwin/Whitehall. Mount Lebanon's not that far, I think.

Ooo, thanks. I'm a newbie to this community (^^;

*stares at the map that kills eyes* Actually, really really close. o.x I thought so.

1990 is an awesome score~ <33 And yeah, I'm pretty much avoiding CMU; better than Pitt, but not worth living in Pittsburgh for.

You're right; that map *does* kill the eyes. (><; They *are* very close, though. Neat. I've never picked up where the boroughs are in relation to each other. How did you find this map...?

Thanks. It's good, but not awesome. Yours are awesome.

Mind if I friend you? It'd be a good step to becoming close and better friends and whatnot.

Google and I are very good friends. XD I dunno; I just have a knack for finding things on the internets. Yeah, the thing with Pittsburgh is all weird and stuff. >>

Don't put yourself down. You're only 10 points away from the big 20-00. :o On my PSATs, I actually scored an 189. On my first SAT, I scored 2020. XD I dunno; the test is kind of screwed up in general, I think.

Not at all~ *friends back*

*headdesk* I put the parenthetical elements in the wrong place. I was telling you good job on the SAT's, you realize, not myself (that'd be arrogant) (and mine weren't particularly spectacular).

Once again, good job!
