Sorry Sherlock fans, but he is a virtual unknown actor in America. Freeman will probably be more well known as Biblo than John.

But Cumberbatch isn't though. He might be popular in the UK and the fandom on the Internet, but in Hollywood terms, that means jack shit. He's pretty unknown here. Masterpiece Theater isn't much of a ratings grabbed, especially considering Sunday nights are reserved for sports (NBA and NHL are having their playoffs right now) and other network channels.
