I am getting really sick of the douchbags who keep going on and on about how ugly they find him. It's ok to not find him attractive (I don't) but why do so many people feel the need to be so horrible about it? How difficult is it to say "I don't think he's good-looking" instead of "OMG HE'S SO HIDEOUS, HE'S THE MOST VILE CREATURE EVER TO EXIST, I WANT TO GOUGE MY EYES OUT!11!!1!!"

There are thousands of much uglier people in the world. How do you people walk down the street every day without drowning in a pool of your own vomit if Cumberbatch is really that repulsive to you?

Not to mention if people were being so cruel about a more conventially unnattractive person then they'd get dogpiled for y'know, being the bullying assholes they are, but for some reason there's some special exeption for him. And Tom Hiddleston.

I also will never understand why it's apparantly ok to make nasty comments about peoples' appearance when it comes to facial structures, (something you are born with and cannot change without plastic surgery...) but if you find someone ugly because you think they are too fat/too thin then it's HDU ALL BODIES ARE BEAUTIFUL!!1!!1

I think it's because a lot of people really don't understand that attractiveness is subjective, and they get irrationally pissed off when someone has different standards of beauty from theirs.

Yeah, it's the way people take personal offense that confuses me. I don't like it when people don't validate my preferences, either, but whether or not people I don't know personally share my opinion on the attractiveness of somebody most of us have never met really isn't something worth getting upset about.

This. To think that he's not attractive is fine, but to think that he's the most hideous thing to walk the earth and ruins EVERYTHING that he's involved in is ridiculous. Does his acting talents count for nothing?

But I guess people can never accept that unconventional looking people deserve to be in the spotlight. You should see the absolute hate people throw at my bb Chris Colfer just because he has small teeth and a high-pitched voice.
