I understand where you come from because I'm bisexual and find it hard to consider a lot of people relationship material for the same reasons, mainly because I don't feel like they'll be able to understand or accept me and my fetishes, or simply just fulfill them.
But in the end you know what? I'm glad I have found my fetishes and, even if I still have a hard time to link them to my real life (if I think about it, I've been at it for 10 years, and I'm only 23, and a virgin, just saying), I'm glad fandom is an outlet where I can finally express them without feeling like the biggest freak in existence.
(Trust me, I've spent a long time without understanding what the hell were these thoughts in my head and it was downright confusing, and creepy and really hard to live. Thank god for the internet. Thank god for fandom)
Whether or not you're in a relationship, sex (well, masturbation in my case) is much better when fetishes are involved.
So really, don't worry about your fetishes, they're ultimately a good thing
