LOL, I actually did this once, and we're really great friends now. I mean, I felt pretty creepy while I was getting her attention and interacting with her, but, you know what, I got over my complete infatuation with her and that's when we really kicked it off...now she's my closest online friend.

*shrugs* You never know. Leave thoughtful comments on her posts(fic, whatever) that encourage a response, and keep doing so 'till you actually get to know her. Then decide how much you like her and if you really want to be friends.

This, though I never felt particularly creepy, because, hey, we're all dorks here (the most awesome dorks ever). I reviewed her stuff and offered to beta for her because I live in the city where the story was based. She's a definite bestie now and one of the few people in life where I feel completely comfortable.
