I'm the exact same way with most procedurals. Which is probably why I'm usually not tempted to join a fandom for one.

I used to be really into Cold Case, and it always annoyed me when an episode focused a lot on the main characters. To be fair, I did like them and some of their subplots, but I just didn't care about them as much as the main case.
