I didn't mind Bones getting pregnant, because it's been obvious for a while that she has feelings for Booth and she went through the whole phase of wanting his baby because it would (genes-wise) be 'the best baby ever'.

My problem is the jump from last season to this season. Last season ended with her getting pregnant. Going into this season, I'm thinking 'So they'll be using this season to develop their relationship, going from partners and friends to a budding romance with a baby on the way; this is going to be fun to watch!' Then the season started and they're already living together, kissing and sharing a bed, with no development at all.

We went from zero to sixty in fives seconds flat, I still have whiplash from it! If the writers had actually given the two the time to develop their new relationship, then I'd be perfectly happy. This sudden speed however I am not happy with. I'm still watching it but it bothers me with each passing episode. When I heard it was getting another season, my reaction was not one of joy but of 'Oh man, I have to watch another season of this?'

I dunno. As awesome as that would be, Emily wasn't exactly the "not-showing-type" when it came to her pregnancy, so they kind of had no choice but to start them later on in the relationship.

edit: Of COURSE, if they'd gotten together EARLIER instead of dragging the UST and such out for so long, we wouldn't have this problem. Damn writers.

No, they've hidden the pregnancies of actresses in other shows. It is possible to do it. I know it was done with Allison Haanigan in How I Met Your Mother. It's difficult but not impossible. Or they could have delayed filming of the episodes until she had her baby, which I also know has been done on other shows.

There are ways around showing a pregnant actress.
