(Anonymous) 2012-05-10 12:23 am (UTC)(link)yeah, 11. I'm not particularily happy I learned about sex from fandom at first, but kids are far from asexual and curious as hell. It's part of the reason I'm considering going into some for of sex ed profession.
for all the awkward-feeling older people: when it's my age, 17 (or 16 is the youngest I filled a meme) is it really anything but your own discomfort? do you honestly feel that me, a 17 year old, isn't old enough? Or mature enough? I think I am. And as much as I repeat fandom (or any porn) isn't an ideal way to teach sex, I think in some ways the self-education I put myself through because of fandom helped develop the emotional and sexual maturity that I have today -- that many of my peers don't seem to have. Again, one of the reasons I'm considering sex ed, and think it's so essential -- things need to be learnt.

If you don't want to run that risk? You may as well.
Jesus people.

(Anonymous) 2012-05-12 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)Why should I be the one to suffer the loss of my personal, adult hobbies and enjoyment because some kids are too entitled and full of themselves to give a fuck that their willful and intentional dishonesty can screw up someone's life?
It's called adult content for a reason.

And as I mentioned in another comment, a judge would laugh that parent or parents out of their court room due to so little evidence of fowl play and suggest that those parents do their fucking job.
You sound like a parent who's been caught out!! Good to know you can't properly watch your children.
