are you me? I just turned 17, and am too awkward about my writing to do anything but kink meme fills. :P Plus I find porn easier because, well, no plot, just characterization and fucking. It used to be a big deal when I was 11, clicking the "i'm 18" button, but now? eh, whatever.

yeah, 11. I'm not particularily happy I learned about sex from fandom at first, but kids are far from asexual and curious as hell. It's part of the reason I'm considering going into some for of sex ed profession.

for all the awkward-feeling older people: when it's my age, 17 (or 16 is the youngest I filled a meme) is it really anything but your own discomfort? do you honestly feel that me, a 17 year old, isn't old enough? Or mature enough? I think I am. And as much as I repeat fandom (or any porn) isn't an ideal way to teach sex, I think in some ways the self-education I put myself through because of fandom helped develop the emotional and sexual maturity that I have today -- that many of my peers don't seem to have. Again, one of the reasons I'm considering sex ed, and think it's so essential -- things need to be learnt.

I'm 20, so I'm not really in the land of "awkward-feeling older people" but 17, 16... maybe 15, doesn't make me feel that uncomfortable about them reading R rated fics and stuff that I write. And I think if they're mature at that age, sure, why not? I remember getting quite annoyed at being rejected from an rp that was 17+ when I was about two months off 17 because it's stupid to think that 2 months is going to do wonders in my maturity levels and ability to mentally handle the potentially adult themes of the game. Anything younger than 15, I do get a bit skeevy over them reading my fics? I don't care if they read others, that's fine. But it's kind of different when it's my own work - I feel a bit dirty and stuff.

Why should I be the one to suffer the loss of my personal, adult hobbies and enjoyment because some kids are too entitled and full of themselves to give a fuck that their willful and intentional dishonesty can screw up someone's life?

And guess what? A child too stupid and a their parents too oblivious and stupid to do their fucking job aren't my or anyone else's problem.

And as I mentioned in another comment, a judge would laugh that parent or parents out of their court room due to so little evidence of fowl play and suggest that those parents do their fucking job.

You sound like a parent who's been caught out!! Good to know you can't properly watch your children.
