Ok, let me ask you this, what is it about this that you find iffy?

It's more the visual side for me, since I always thought of Az as much softer in the face, like Martin Freeman or RSL or anyone that's not as angular as Cumberbatch. And I always thought of the pair of them as looking like humans in their late 30s to mid-40s. And, I dunno, Hiddles seems like both the obvious and not quite on the nose choice for Crowley. I could totally see either of them as one or two of the Horseman or as Newt, on the other hand. OH OH OH HIDDLES FOR FAMINE BECAUSE YES

You have a point about Ben not having the right look for Az. My ideal choice is actually Simon Baker but I want Ben because I know he could do it plus I need Ben & Hiddles in another movie together because they are gorgeous and fit each other and play off each other so well.

Hiddles has got the accent to be a great Crowley plus he's fantastic with dark hair and that's not actually the point. I seem to have gotten lost thinking about Tom XD

Meanwhile my ideal choice is the middle-aged lovechild of Peter Davison and Robert Sean Leonard because pretty and the face/voice would be perfect. And, yet, he does not exist in real life. :(

*waves* Hi, I'm the one other commenter who agrees with the OP! I honest think these two could be hilarious together. I also just love imagining Hiddleston!Crowley's face contorted with insanity as he launches the burning Bentley across the M25. Not for any attractiveness factor, really, but just because his face is so expressive and he does an awesome evil/insane smile.
