Wait what.

Joffrey character assassinated himself from the first book onward.
Rob has to have *some* romantic interaction with Jeyne before BOOM marriage, otherwise it will read really weird.
Mormount isn't called the Old Bear for nothing.
The viewer needs to have some background on Margaery to understand why she does what she does in books 3 and 4.
Brienne has no personality other than HONORHONOR(renly)HONOR.

They are pushing half the shit CERSEI did to Joffrey. Like, assassinating Robert's bastard? That was Cersei, not Joffrey.

And I think the problem with Jeyne is less that she has some interaction with Robb and more that she is A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CHARACTER than in the books. For no reason.

To be fair, she's barely a character in the books. Like we don't really get to know her at all, so I'm not all that bothered that they are giving her an actual character? But even so I don't think I'm a fan of what they did to give her more of a character.

They don't actually say it was Joffery and not Cersei in the show, though. Tyrion assumes it was Joffery and Cersei doesn't deny it.

This. I asked my husband, who has not read the books, who he thought ordered it and he said Cersei. He said it was the only logical choice.

I think at some point we'll get hints and/or even a big reveal that it was Cersei all along, she just used Joffery as a convenient scapegoat because, let's face it, it's entirely believable. Tyrion doesn't even bother to fact check her. He just interprets her silence the way he wants to.
