On one hand it'd be cool to have a gay character (finally), but seeing as he's portrayed as an unlikable person, there are some unfortunate implications at work...
But hey, Lin Beifong could also be gay, and she's a BAMF IMO. (Or she could simply be asexual/aromantic.) She doesn't strike me as a villain or even someone people would dislike, despite her snarkiness. Then again I'm not involved in the fandom, so Idk how other people feel about her.

She was involved with Tenzin, though.

And there's not enough Tarrlok art in general. He may not be a very pleasant person, but he's a damn handsome one (especially in his task force outfit).

Oh yes, there definitely needs to be more art too of those two pairings. That Korra/Lin picture is stunning btw. I concur about Tarrlok being sexy in that task force uniform as well. It's a shame no one took the opportunity to have him stripping out of it in fanart!

See, I'm not convinced he's a bad guy yet. Just because he's a jerk who manipulates the Avatar doesn't make him a 'bad guy', he could just be a politician that's good at getting his way by manipulating other people. And while that's not a particularly likable trait in the slightest, that doesn't mean he's 'evil', and thus I'm sure claims of Leather Pantsing is a little premature.

I really really hope they don't make him a full on villain, I'm still hoping he'll be more or less a neutral, out-for-himself figure.

Probably too much to ask for, but hey I can dream.

I don't fully subscribe to "he's in cahoots with Amon" theories, but I can't help thinking that the people who make them have a point. As of now, he's just kind of a very sleazy politician, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he actually had some kind of deal with Amon.

...I'm mildly relieved I'm not the only person that had a thought along this line cross their minds about these two. I mean, it's wrong on some levels, but I prefer him as the asshole part of a Korra ship to Tahno myself. *shrug*
