This is not a trick, I promise. :)
In honor of Mother's Day, have two pictures of mother spider watching their children. (Not creepy, I don't think. Not like the last one with a mother spider, anyway!)

(Anonymous) 2012-05-13 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)I love cat moms especially. My mother always calls herself a "cat mother" because she once saw her cat beat the hell out of a dog near her kitten, and my mother says she always had the overwhelming urge to beat the hell out of anyone who touched her babies.

(Anonymous) 2012-05-13 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)*checks calander* Oh, just for USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Japan. Whew. Had me worried there.
These pictures/gifs are adorable as usual, cute animal pics anon. (Mind if I call you Cap? Or maybe even Cap'n.) The puppy one had me pressing my finger to the screen for quite a while.

Sorry about that! I know that there's a reverse image search on Google*, and maybe you'd be able to find a size you like?
*If you're not sure how it works, you go to Google images, and click the camera in the search bad, and then copy + paste the web address of the pic.

I think baby spiders would bother me less if there weren't always a zillion of them in one place at a time. Always reminds me of a Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark camp tale that makes my skin crawl to this day. *shudders*no subject

...
...
As I hazily remember this short story from elementary school- I certainly never re-read this one- a girl (I think? Been eons) gets a bug bite on her face at summer camp, that gets worse and more infected looking until it bursts while she's looking in a mirror, and it turns out it wasn't a bite so much as a spider laod eggs IN HER/baby spiders explode out of her and crawl all over the place.
Cue horror.
...My skin is practically crawling OFF my arms just describing this. D:

Now I remember why I never read those books.
