I second the thyroid vote. I can't say which one it is either, but it sounds like the likely culprit. You know, since you're saving up for the doctor, if you can, start treating yourself at least with food or herbal medicine for now if you can afford it. Eating lots of vegetables and fruit may at least help the healing process. You can check http://naturalliving.livejournal.com/tag/thyroid to see if there's anything you can do yourself.

Thirded on the thyroid. Check into the iodine content of your regular diet, too. (Not enough iodine can lead to goiter, but it's not as simple as just that.)

If it's cancer, though, you need to know it soon and deal with it as quickly as possible, before the cancer gets into your lymphatic system and spreads through your body. You can survive thyroid cancer pretty easily if you catch it early enough. So don't wait. Find a doctor or a charity that can help you now.

Fourthed on the thyroid. Not a doctor, but a fellow sufferer, and that list of symptoms is familiar. It can also fuck up your cognition, your growth, your hair, basically your whole life.

And fifthed. Your exhaustion could totally be related to your thyroid crapping out on you.

*hugs*

I am so sorry that you are in this position. I will keep you in my thoughts, Anon.
