For me a lot of his attractiveness comes from what a goddamned good actor he is. No matter what character he plays he has this amazing ability to make him interesting and likable. That's why when I just see pictures of him I don't find him that handsome, but when I watch him in movies as he brings characters to life I fall for those characters (DiCaprio is another actor that has that ability.)

Yeah, I wasn't attracted to him until I saw Tropic Thunder of all things. I was just so blown away at how great he was in that movie and suddenly the attractiveness level went through the roof.

Yes, very good point. I think that applies to many talented actors who aren't 'conventionally attractive' as well.

For me, a lot of his Stark (at least outside of the suit) is in his body language, which is distinct from RDJ's own body language in interviews & such. I really appreciate it when actors think about the way the character would stand, move, etc.
