And oh yes WASP. A version without Giant-Man/Ant-Man as an Avengers preferably since he's too much like Bruce both in personality and in powers (I went into the movie secret hoping Bruce would randomly name-drop Hank Pym though -- oh how I would kill to see a female superhero who has a totally-not-a-superhero husband/boyfriend who doesn't whine about her being more BAMF than him). Scarlet Witch would be...actually pretty damn awesome if they could figure out a movie-ish way to explain her powers (like they did with the Asgardians). I'm just concerned about avoiding duplicated skill sets that renders the newer character redundant.

I hope to god they stay far, far away from Civil War.
It'd be hard to do anyway. The cast necessary to pull it off would be gigantic. And they don't have the movie rights to half the main players. I think we'd need a decade of Marvel putting out movies and/or tv series before we could even realistically think of doing it.
Otherwise, even if we ignore budget concerns, you'd have to introduce so many characters the movie's pacing would be horrible. Both sides had small armies.

Totally agree about Civil War. I...kinda want Civil War without the actual, y'know, civil war. No stupid superheroes dividing up and fighting each other for nonsensical reasons while acting like they're off their meds and think they've been possessed by the ghost of Joe McCarthy. The underlying concepts that led to the SHRA, on the other hand, would be absolutely fascinating. I mean, the whole idea of the government wanting to control the Avengers and Fury's disagreements with the council are already set up. And Tony's putting together The Tower Formerly Known As Stark Tower, which could serve to make the Avengers draw away from SHIELD control...I really like the possibilities this movie opened up.

I support this idea. I really want Jan in the next movie, but I don't like Hank, so this basically solves that problem.

I love Hank in the Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon, so I would actually love to see him if they keep him that way. I think he and Jan would do really well. Just as long as they don't go with the Ultimates version. *shudder*
Scarlet Witch would be amazing. They'd, again, need at least some of the X-Men rights back though -- as of now they can only use her if they never call her a mutant or mention Magneto, which erases a huge part of her and Quicksilver's plot. Hopefully they can strong-arm Fox into helping them out, lol. I think her powers would be easier to explain than some... especially if they keep that she's a mutant, but even without that -- her original powers were basically just negative probability manipulation. The "chaos magic" came later and doesn't even need to be explained, really... I can't think how they could though, lol. Magic in Marvel is pretty screwy.
But I don't think either would duplicate other characters' skill sets (except maybe Jan to Hank, but that's because they're a package deal). Thankfully. Cos I really, really wanna see Wanda and Pietro on the big screen. :3

Now that I think of it, Hank and Jan being a package deal won't be too bad since they're not that powerful. They're the type that would actually work as a package deal. And they're very well known, and I can think of good ways they can be ushered into the plot quickly (like Hank working on this big project developing new particles and testing them on himself and Jan, and something plot-relevant happens to derail the work and get them recruited, or whatever. I like imagining future scenarios).

Yeah, I agree. They work really well as a team.. and there are definitely huge plot options for them. (Especially when you think of, like, the Supervillain prison, Ultron, etc., also.)
