I wanna see it, but I haven't watched any of the movies leading up to this other than the first Iron Man, welp. (I've been busy!) So yeah, I feel like I have to wait until I do those things before jumping into the newest movie.

I'm not too fussed about getting to the movie yet, though I have a feeling I'll get on those movies soon so I can participate in Pewpewpew! EXPLOSIONS! Flash! Cool Characters! Loki wank! conversations in FS.

Ha, I literally just had a conversation with my sister like this! She wants to see "Avengers" but hasn't seen any of the previous movies, but I think she'll figure it out fine without having seen everything.

I just watched "Thor" and "Captain America" last week to get caught up and I'm slightly worried "Avengers" won't live up to the hype I've built in my head, but seeing sentiments raichu100's endorsement below keep me excited. :D

She will. :D I jumped into this fandom with literally no previous exposure at all, save for having heard the names of the characters and seen a couple posters. I still haven't seen any of the lead-in movies (though I certainly plan to now). She'll get it just fine. It helped that I've seen it twice so now I know who everyone is from the start, but I still thought it was awesome the first time.
