in general I guess I get your point (though pfff, Storm. Totally aside from the legal issues, I love her but they can't figure out how to write her in the X-Men movies, let alone another group - the Wasp or Ms Marvel or Scarlet Witch would make more of le sense to me. Also I wish Hill had gotten more time, but now that SPOILER SPOILER is dead [;_______________;] she'll probably become bigger as the heroes deal more with SHIELD)

but Black Widow's there because she was in Iron Man 2. She was in that as kind of a foil to Tony and she's in this to connect with SHIELD, share backstory with Hawkeye and kick a bunch of ass. How many new characters do you really think they can introduce at once and do them well WHILE continuing to give the characters we know already enough time and development? Ensembles are hard to balance out, especially when there's some characters you're familiar with and some you're not. Hawkeye didn't even get to be himself in this movie - killed a bunch of people and looked hot in Archer Poses but how many wiseass lines did he get? That's what I thought.

Also, I loved her, but w/e I know that's not your point. Also ALSO, I have a big character-weakness for the Badass Normals on a team of supers.
