I can understand that. I love Korra so far, but sequels for anything can be hit or miss. To each their own so don't let it get to you OP.

Honestly I'm a bit surprised I haven't seen any RUINED FOREVER! wank for Korra since it is going in such a different direction from AtLA. I remember a lot of wailing, and gnashing of teeth from some parts of the Last Exile fandom over Ginyoku no Fam in that regard. I was expecting the same here, but mostly all I've seen from LoK/AtLA is more shipping wank. But then I'm not overly involved in the Avatar fandom like I am LE, so I could have missed it.
