As others has said, main reasons why she is worthy of fan scorn are valid. The writers tried too hard to make the Pulaski/Data relationship like the Bones/Spock relationship but it didn't work because, mostly, she referred to Data as inhuman and inferior even after they showed that he should be considered a sentient being on par with humans. This made Pulaski come off as a even more of a predjudiced ass than even Bones. Another issue I have with her character is that her harsh demeanor and prejudice did not fit the tone of the main cast at all. The main cast was sensitive to social issues and politically correct (in a '90's way) and here is Pulaski, insulting a beloved character for his sci-fi "disability" for no discernible reason other than as a throw back to a time we were trying to move past.
