I've had sleep paralysis more than a few times
You obviously don't know what sleep paralysis is

(Anonymous) 2012-05-20 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
Some things that have happened to me during episodes: I once got it lying on my side, couldn't move but felt like something was pinning me down from behind and I felt a horrible hissing sensation against the back of my neck. I've had several attacks where I feel like there's a crushing weight on my chest and I try to speak or scream and think I'm speaking or screaming but I'm not sure. Once a horrible goblin looking thing flew out of my wardrobe but I couldn't fight it off as it tried to attack me because obviously it wasn't really there, but as I couldn't move and was still technically asleep there wasn't much else I could do. I get exploding head syndrome where it feels like sounds are so loud I have difficulty telling reality from my dream state.

Yeah I don't know what it is. Except for in some ways this instance was still horrible. It started with the hissing sounds again, sounded like something demonic was saying my name. I saw swirly shapes at first. For some reason there's occasional moments where something that can be interpreted as "nice" (to some people) will happen. I've regularly had feelings as though someone (usually invisible) is stroking my neck (with crushing weight on my chest) - I just wanted to make a light hearted reference to this one because sometimes I want to forget how confusing and exhausting it is when I finally wake up for real and concentrate on the few things that happen that are kinda hilarious. Because most of the time it's scary as shit.

Sorry for the tl:dr but I don't like people saying I don't know my own experiences.

Everything you described sounds a lot like my sleep paralysis episodes
And there's nothing sexy about any of that, it's just terrifying (I really don't know how anyone WOULDN'T be terrified by not being able to move your own body)

So basically this comment makes no sense, my only point is that sleep paralysis and sleep disturbances aren't sexy

Wow, that sounds so shit :(

The few times I've had it I just saw flashing lights whilst freaking the fuck out, however I have a tight-bondage kink so I wish I'd had something like that. Maybe it'd be a tiny bit more like lucid dreaming if I had it enough that I knew what it was each time & my subconscious was halfway expecting it.

I'm glad you were able to have an experience that your sub-conscious was able to turn to your advantage, OP.

* Oh, also the person you're replying to is a compulsive arrogant douche. Ignore button.

I've had sleep paralysis since I was twelve. It comes in different forms. Sometimes (very rarely for me, unfortunately) it's sexy.

It's much more common for it to be fucking terrifying, but that doesn't mean it never involves sex. If you're interested you can Google "sleep paralysis incubus/succubus", 'cause there's a link there.

I mean I guess if not being able to control your own body is sexy, I could see that... but I have a hard time wrapping my head around this because for me and most people that's just terrifying
