Oh man, I feel your pain. I love cosplaying, but none of the characters I want to cosplay wear glasses. (Contacts and I don't get along either, so that's not really an option.)

The last time I cosplayed, I thought "it's okay, I'll just do without my glasses for a day since it's not like I'm completely blind without them"... and I ended up having to put them on after an hour because I could not see the vendor's wares or the art at the artist alley or even which characters other people were cosplaying unless they were directly in front of me. If you really want to cosplay a character without glasses but wearing contacts/going without isn't an option, you could always take your glasses off for photos.
