I respectfully disagree with anon up there. As long as you are respectful and don't do things like tell someone who was writing fanfic based on [one of the] comic universe that they got their characterization wrong I find that people are respectful of movie fans. And, as someone pointed out lower down, doing the aforementioned thing would be akin to telling someone writing for BBC!Sherlock that they got their characterizations wrong because the movie!Sherlock would never act like that. For the record, you seem like you would not do such a thing. I'm just pointing it out!

And right now I am doing research as to where I might guide you, it's not that I'm being rude and ignoring you. I have very little time and just tend to flit around like a maniac in and out of various corners. Are you looking for somewhere where you can read fic, or do you want people you can actively engage in discussions with?

(Sorry for the seemingly late response - I thought I had, but upon checking this thread a lot of my comments aren't showing up)

Any good places for reading Avengers fic? That's pretty much my primary interest.

I disagree, too. I'm completely new with comics and one of the things that I find fascinating is the amount of trouble comic fans will go through to "let you in". I think it comes from their experience in a fandom where NOBODY has read everything (because, let's face it, it would be impossible).

Also, Marvel, right? There's the original 616 verse, and the Ultimates verse, and the different cartoons verses (so far I've come across two, I haven't seen any but they have pretty cool fics), and then there's Marvel Adventures, and Marvel Noir... and now there's movieverse. What's the big deal?

(Remember when I said I was new to comics? Yeah. Two months ago I new nothing of this. But comic fans are always eager to share ^^.)
