I was referring to the idea of BOTH Watson and Holmes being women. THAT would never have been picked up because both leads being female in a show that isn't marketed towards women just doesn't happen.

Maybe in TNT it would have? I love my Rizzles!! Granted, the writing isn't the sharpest thing ever, but the chemistry between the leads exists. It is totally possible to do a show with two female leads.

*sigh* Would love both Sherlock and Watson to be women too, but yeah, I share your cynicism that it won't happen any time soon. =/
