I agree, although some have argued that Watson isn't used to seeing a brutally murdered body.

Another good thing about having her being a veteran--she probably WOULD have seen shit like that during her service. Watson's ability to deal with the stuff he and Holmes deal with comes at least as much from his time as a soldier as his being a doctor.

Agreed. I wonder what their rationale is for changing Watson's background. A female surgeon who's also an army vet is hardly an overused trope.
