So the Draco Trilogy = Mortal Instruments? /Slowpoke

Not entirely, but she kinda lifted whole passages from her fics into her books, and some characters and relationships (the almost incest, the love triangle, how the couples work) in the Mortal Instruments have been modeled after the ones in Draco Trilogy.
Both are eerily similar, but not exact copies. Still, the biggest issue is that Mortal Instruments is a product born from a fanfic.

Ah, thanks for the explanation. I recall the wank over her plagiarizing from various sources for the Draco Trilogy... I never bothered to read it because of that.

Yeah... published fanfic crosses a line IMO. I mean, what reason is there to do it, other than to build up a fanbase that will be clamouring to pay money for it?
