True. But premise is less important than execution (CBS has The Good Wife which could just be another courtroom drama, except the acting, characterization, writing, pacing, and plots all serve to make it an exceptional show). Not that I necessarily expect Elementary to be exceptional, but there's a chance (I have seen some very good acting by both Lucy Liu and Jonny Lee Miller in other projects). But yes, it's been done before and will surely be done again.
