I can't believe more people aren't pointing out that not everyone defines being a fan by having strong opinions on who should have sex. Personally if fanfic features the source, and it's interesting and well written, I'll read it. I thought I was in the majority, actually..

What if shipping usually involves "who should be in a relationship and live happily ever after" and not "who should have sex"? I'm usually more interested in the former than the latter.
