If it was phrased differently i.e. liking a couple doesn't equal shipping them, then I could understand it. There are plenty of couples I think are alright, cute, sweet, whatever but I don't ship them. To me shipping is doing fan-ish things like reading fic or joining a comm.

But I doubt that's what the op meant shipping as a concept seems to confuse them.
