I love this commenting interface already. No, you don't have to type in flat or any secret commands, it gives you them as links! Awesome.

DW is slow to start/load intially but seems okay so far. Dunno how it will go with a comment heavy setup, but I appreciate the expand option. No sign of a "new comment" notification.

DW get's another 2 points for not putting me through that torture

but LJ gets 2 points for having all my friends/other comms

Conclusion: I'll click on the link in my news/friends feed daily instead of a full out follow over.

Blah. This place feels so old and clunky. I admit I hate the functional changes LJ made to comments, but the aesthetic changes were all good. Compared to LJ, DW looks all old and clunky and out dated.

But I suppose functionality is better than beauty. :p

I get an option "Hide x comments" next to the "Thread" link where x is the number of comments in the thread that would be collapsed. Do you not see that option? It's possible you don't because I have a paid account here, but as far as I can tell it should be available to everyone.
