DW has an option for text-based or graphical Captchas, figured the text would be better.

pretty good. Now I'm trying to work out if it does the new comment thing like LJ (one of my fave thread features)

DW is slow to start/load intially but seems okay so far. Dunno how it will go with a comment heavy setup, but I appreciate the expand option. No sign of a "new comment" notification.

huh, didn't even ask for a captcha this time. odd since I don't log in to anything at work - but not unappreciated.

Fucking hate captcha.

DW get's another 2 points for not putting me through that torture

but LJ gets 2 points for having all my friends/other comms

Conclusion: I'll click on the link in my news/friends feed daily instead of a full out follow over.

If you use Greasemonkey with Firefox, or Chrome, you can use this userscript to have new comments marked for you.

Eh, I'll miss it but I'm not huge with fiddling with scripts and the like - it certainly wouldn't work on my work computers. I'll just need to pay a bit more attention since i won't be making an account.

another reason to love dreamwidth- if i'm stuck somewhere, i can actually check f!s on my ancient phone! i stopped being able to do that after the 'new comment' update.

You can also use view=flat to get them in chronological order.
