The expand tags work inline for me...I'm not sure what's up with yours?

Also, that feature is awesome, but it only lists the number of new comments when you look at the x comments in this entry // leave a comment links if you're looking at it from a journal. It just turns it into x comments in this entry (x new comments) // leave a comment. It doesn't tell you which comments exactly are new, which sadfaces me. :/

Yeah, I don't know WHY the expand feature isn't working! I tried on my downstairs computer, switching to FF, and when I clicked on my NoScript "allow all on Dreamwidth" it enabled it right away.

There was an issue with it earlier; the DW FAQs say if it's still happening to file a support request.

At this point, I suspect there's something specific in my IE settings. DW is in my trusted sites list, though the trusted sites currently have the default Medium security level and I don't feel like tinkering with Every Single Radio Button right now...

It very well might be your IE. I know DW is supposed to play nice with all browsers, but IE is infamous for messing with sites that should run fine. If it keeps up, my only suggestion is to file a support request. They've always been incredibly patient and good about working with users to help figure out what's wrong. It's one reason I love it here so much. *shrugs* But you sound like you know what you're doing, so maybe you'll be able to figure it out.

Thanks! I used to do support at LJ many years ago (Entries and G/Unk) and I already filed a support request here. There are so many different IE settings that could affect scripts and scriptlets and applets and and and... I'll let them help me figure it out. :)

And I seriously miss I Hearth Darth.

I can't believe how long it's been gone, tbh. It was so fun while it lasted. Nostalgia + cuteness has convinced me to keep coming back to it every time I want to switch defaults.
