hi5 bi anon! I really think you'd mostly do well to come out in fandom because there are a LOT of us here and we get it, and that tends to be how the bixexual community works - decentralised, people meet each other and stick together, generally due to being alienated out of both straight spaces and gay spaces at the same time. I have had a few really nasty comments in fandom but they've been rare, and generally from idiot biphobic SJW trolls. The rest of the world can understand that bisexual experiences are nuanced and varied and not everyone who's bi is not 50/50 into both male and female people at all times.

Now, let us band together to destroy our monosexual oppressors. :D

Monosexual! I love using that word. All my friends think I'm silly when I do, but it makes so much sense to me.

I pretty much only use it sarcastically but it is nice to have around as a renormalising word. There's this tendency (see all the Kinsey scale talk below) to see bisexuality as the centre of a spectrum rather than a thing in its own right, and I find that irritating.
