imo opinion that title actually goes to Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, bit XMFC is certainly a close second.

game of shadows loses the first spot in my personal ranking because it was obvious everyone involved was playing up "the gay". it was intentional.

i don't think it was the case with XMFC. i think the gay was accidental in that one. the result of a messy script and two quality actors trying to make a ~6 months or so relationship more meaningful than it had any right to be.
