Sexuality is a spectrum, and I think that fandom is often pretty good at recognizing it. I identify as straight, but really I'm closer to a 1-2 on the Kinsey Scale, in that I do crush on ladies (including the one in my icon) but that my sexuality is more in favor of men.

Still, fandom DOES tend to be somewhat more progressive than the rest of the world. I was watching the Oprah interview with Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka and Oprah asked if they thought "does bisexuality really exist?" and my sister and I were floored.
