You'd figure though that if he was even a little bit socialist the other socialists wouldn't want to disown his policies, though.

...Why? That's like saying because someone is democratic, all other democratic people would agree with their policies or at least not want to disown them. There would be no divide between Republicans and Democrats, because they both support, in the end, a democratic republic.

No, I'm saying that everyone from actual socialists to political scientists all scoff at the idea of Obama being a socialist.

Reminds me of how conservatives back then denounced Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal and social security as being 'socialist'.
