I don't know if I miss it since I feel like it hadn't been active in like ten years and I can barely remember what it used to be like. I remember returning to it when AC came out and enjoying it quite a bit then. But my experience of FFVII fandom, of what I can remember, wasn't that great? I don't know. I've been in other fandoms since including Dissidia which were far more fun.

But then perhaps that is the point you're making.
