I haven't watched more than half the first season but I kind of liked some pairings. So they broke up, for real? That's great, never liked them together.

I was just kind of like "meh" until I realized that she thought that she was on the way to her wedding. Talk about leaving someone at the alter, it was terrible. "Married? No, jk, I'm breaking up with you and going to join the army, have fun in college!"

If Rachel had suggested it, it would have been the best thing that had ever happened to both of them. As it was, Finn got to white knight and that lessened some of my enjoyment. They acted the fuck out of that scene though.

I really dislike them, both as characters and as a couple, ut that scene actually made me rage. How is that supposed to be romantic? They actually love each other and know it, why break up? So that Rachel can concentrate on her dreams? Her dreams have changed, that's part of groing up, she realized there's more to life than the spotlight, that was one thing I thought the writers had done right for once. But no, Broadway is more important than happiness. Really, with the love of her life breking up with her when they were supposed to be getting married, how much do you think she'll be able to focuse on her singing instead of just feeling miserable and depressed? (Well, knowing the writers, she'll have no problem at all, I guess.) Why ouldn't they just postpone the wedding, and decide they'd find a way to make the long-distance thing work since anyway, with her job, it'll be what their life would have been like? Argh, so much rage!
