Not to be pedantic, but that's a premise, not necessarily a plot or story. And I agree, the premise is very interesting, but I think they are failing put it into a compelling story which has a clear arc and builds up tension and anticipation...

The equalist conflict isn't a plot? Amon stealing people's bending isn't a plot?

This past week's episode, where we see just as much extremism from the bender side, ending up with Korra and all her friends imprisoned, didn't help build up tension and anticipation?

I'll give you that the arc isn't exactly that clear, muddied by romance and other nonsense, but are we even watching the same show?

Different anon, but personally, I think the Equalist plot has the potential to be grayer than the war against the FN ever was, yet they haven't shown any of the gray areas yet. It's all just bland, "The Fire Nation killed my parents. Prepare to die."
