Why wouldn't something that's normally ABUSIVE get a trigger warning? How can you not get that incest could trigger someone?

Because, unfortunately, people being sexually abused by their own family is a thing that has happened.

Just hearing about sex between family members (which isn't common so it's not like they hear about it everywhere) can be triggering for some of them.

Secret's OP here. I know some people can be triggered by the mere mention of incest, which is why I warned even though I don't see Michael/Lindsay as abusive (them both being legal adults and all). I frequently ship incest, but I always warn for it. Better safe than sorry.



A little disappointed I got no A.D. comments, though, not gonna lie.

Even though I'm largely squicked by incest, AD is a show where almost all incest ships pretty much make me go "...Eh, it works." And despite their opposing value systems, Lindsay/Michael are the rare pair on AD that can actually be frank around each other, possibly in part because they never seem to be able to totally bullshit each other, either.

Although Michael/his family (or the other way around) always seemed like the OT~7 of the series (with a lot of hurt/comfort).
