I think that you need to look at it through the her eyes though, an eleven year old girl that has grown up SUPER sheltered. First off, she might be naive but she knows better than to disagree with Joffrey even at that point in the narrative (with the direwolf). At least that's how it came across to me. Yes, she keeps up her idealism even after that point for a while, but considering that she's been living her whole life with those ideals and even now, is being treated like she's pretty damn special, it makes sense that it takes something huge to shatter those. She starts out as a bratty kid, yes, but I think that if anything that makes the way that she develops past that all the more fascinating and it makes me love her more. Honestly Arya is pretty bratty at first too, imo.

I'm sure she develops to be pretty cool. I'd hate to think the author leaves the character the way she starts out. But for right now, I just can't bring myself to like her. I just can't.

I haven't picked up the books yet (my brother is posting them to me in the mail) but I've begun watching the series. It's still really early days. I'm also kinda jumping around cuz I watch with my friends who are caught up. So I'm caught up but not LOL.

She develops a lot over the course of the series, btw. I kinda hated her when I read the first book too but I think she's now one of my favorites. :)
