Sansa has no clue what a douche he is that that point, though. Of course he butters her up until the wolf attack, which is when she stops idolizing him.

At least in the books, that's not at all what happens. At the feast after the Hand's tourney, he lays himself out to be charming to her, and she falls for it. She convinces herself that even Lady's death wasn't his fault, it was all on account of Arya. And when Ned tells the girls that he's going to take them back to Winterfell, it's Sansa who runs to tell the Queen what he plans--because she still wants to marry the handsome prince, and she doesn't want to believe Ned when he tells her what a terrible idea it would be for her to marry Joffrey.

I don't really blame her that much for clinging to her illusions about him, for imagining that if she could just be the perfect princess, do the right thing all the time, he'd be charming always. How many women have thought that irl?
